What inspired you to get into music?

Well, music has always been my passion. From my earliest years, my biggest dream was to become successful in the music industry. I started my journey in a choir back in Jamaica, and since then, there hasn’t been a day where music hasn’t been a part of my life.

Are there any secrets to your creative process?

My biggest help when making music is my family and friends. Even just a smile or a few words of encouragement from them, some help with song ideas or listening to rhythms with them is all I need to stay determined to try my best.

Can you tell us about your latest musical projects?

Lately, I’ve been trying to become more versatile in my music, attracting different crowds and showing my talent isn’t for one thing but many.

Growing up, who were your idols in the entertainment industry?

Lady Saw, Beyonce, Beanie man, Marcia Griffiths, Spice, and many more.

Was there a defining moment when you knew you wanted to be an artist?

When I sang happy birthday for Mikey Blacks at his birthday party and excited the crowd, I thought that this was what I wanted to do – make music and promote a fun energy to everyone.

How would you describe the dancehall scene in the UK?

I think that people in dancehall need to focus more on talent instead of favouritism. Dancehall needs more structure through organized shows and events. However, there has been more attempt to support up-and-coming artists in the UK dancehall scene.

Is there anyone you would like to collaborate with?

Of course. Many are Spice, Skeng, Masicka, Vybz Kartel, Dyani, Dexta Daps, Alkaline, Popcaan, Shensea, Cardi B, Nicki Minaj and Beyonce.

What three habits have contributed to your success?

Being consistent, portraying a fun, dynamic persona on stage and always enthusiastic about working with others.

Looking back, what is your most important lesson about the music business?

A portfolio is very valuable in the music industry as it allows you to convey your musical identity and connect with others. Also, using marketing strategies to help promote your brand in the musical industry. Be ahead of your game, and don’t try to be everything to everybody. You are yourself, and you should take pride in it. Don’t put limits on yourself.

Can you share a highlight of your career?

Performing with Truly Dyani on stage. Entered a lip-sync challenge with many artists, both men and women, and won, earning the undefeated title.

What message do you have for your fans?

Stay true to yourself. Stay focused. Don’t let anybody change your mindset, and believe in your dreams.

What can we expect from you next?

My EP is coming soon. More fire is yet to come.
