While the weather has been amazing in the UK, we still got to make this money and work. However, at MOGUL we do not recommend all work and no play. 1. Champagne Afternoon Tea — The Palm Court, The Ritz, London The room hasn't changed and that's the point. Twenty teas, Cornish clotted cream, and cakes carved and served at your table rather than plated in a kitchen. Five sittings a day, each around an hour forty-five, and the booking window runs eight weeks out — so this is a decision you make now for late August, not a Saturday whim. 2. ESPA at Lucknam Park — Colerne, near Bath
Thirty-five minutes from Bristol. A Palladian mansion on 500 acres, a 20-metre indoor pool, a hydrotherapy pool that opens out to the arboretum, and five thermal cabins — including a Japanese salt room and an amethyst room. Hywel Jones holds the Michelin star on the same estate, so the day doesn't have to end at the changing room. Book it in August: the spa and gym close for refurbishment from 3 September.

4. Soul Pilates — Bristol
Reformer is on every high street now. The separator is who’s teaching and how many bodies are in the room. Seven at Queen Square, twelve at Bishopston — and they’ve been doing this in Bristol for over a decade. Three classes for £52 if you’re testing it before you commit.

3. El Fenn at Flute — Broadwick Soho, London
Marrakech’s most photographed hotel has moved into a Soho rooftop for the summer. Red and white stripes, suspended Moroccan lanterns, batbout with smoked aubergine zaalouk, charcoal-grilled octopus, a hibiscus margarita and a Marrakech negroni. Hassan Hajjaj and Atay Atelier have curated the exhibition — Ismail Zaidy and Fatimazohra Serri, and the work on the terrace is for sale. Closes 31 August.
