How do you use essential oils?

The most popular way to use aromatherapy oils is through inhalation or body massages.

For a tantalizing experience mix the essential oil with a carrier oil like olive oil, or jojoba oil and create a sensual, naturally infused body oil.

*Some essential oils can irritate the skin so check out the ingredient before applying.

To inhale the essential oil, you can use a diffuser or simply inhale add a drop or two on a tissue, hold it up to your nose for five slow, quiet breaths. Relax, inhale and become conscious of your breathing.

Lavender Oil

Lavender essential oil is one of the most popular essential oils used in aromatherapy. Distilled from the plant Lavandula angustifolia, the oil promotes relaxation and believed to treat anxiety, depression, insomnia,  menstrual cramps, eczema, and nausea.

Bergamot Oil

Bergamot has a subtle citrus-like fragrance, combined with a sweet complex floral quality. The scent is relaxing but can leave you feeling refreshed at the same time. Rather than massaging into the skin, diffuse it. Bergamot is known to be phytotoxic, meaning severe burning can happen if you go into the sun.

Rose Oil

Rose Essential Oil relaxes your body and mind, relieves stress and anxiety. Rose essential oil can also help relieve symptoms of PMS, including restlessness, stress, insomnia, bloating, and menstrual pain.

During rose aromatherapy, the essential oils move deep into your skin and the air in your lungs, soothing the skin and the mind. It slowly relaxes your muscles and relieves spasms. Rose essential oil has been proven to help heal wounds while inhaling rose essential oil helps form a protective barrier in your body by lowering the concentration of stress hormones in your body.
