We caught up with Bristol-based DJs and Chefs called Chop ‘N’ Chefe. The unique duo has combined their passion for food and music, turning it into a profitable career. The pair have built a solid reputation entertaining the new generation of music enthusiasts while cooking up a culinary storm. Here the pair sits with Mogul Magazine for a quick catch-up to discuss their musical backgrounds, professional trades, most popular dishes and plans for the future.
Can you tell us about Chop n Chefe?
Chop n Chefe started in 2020 and is a business venture that started as just food hosting and DJing but is also blossoming onto other paths, such as events and much more stuff in the pipeline.
What inspired you to be DJs?
Both of our fathers grew up in sound. My uncle Niyah grew up around king Jammy’s studio in Kingston, and my dad grew up in Qualitex sound, so music has always been a part of our lives growing up.
GrowingA speciality of yours is cooking. Can you share Chop n Chef’s most famous dish?
Our delicious Hennessy wings are our top sellers. Every time we have that dish on the menu, they sell out, and we get great feedback.
What inspired you to bring food and music together as part of your brand?
To be so honest, it was a thing that came together so naturally. We love music and food, so it was only right to intertwine them.
How do you like to spend your personal time?
Probably say spending time with family listening to music and catching jokes.
Can you both share a fun fact about yourselves?
Chef: I don’t just do food and music. I’m also a qualified electrician and on my way to becoming a bricklayer as well. Chop: Outside of music, I am also a bar manager at Lakota

Putting on events and podcasts and many more things
