Lockdown Beauty Hacks
By P.Campbell
Currently, there’s no need to rush out the door every morning, so you have extra time and develop a skincare routine that works for you. Lockdown is a great opportunity to perfect your skincare routines and learn a thing or two about self-grooming while at home.
Cleansing face wash
It’s best to start with a pH-balanced cleanser, followed by a product that treats or prevents acne. After this step, use a skin-nourishing moisturiser. Your routine should be used as a pampering session and not a chore. Learning to take your time and appreciate your skin will leave you feeling better mentally and your skin refreshed.
Try a face mask
With time on your hands, why not give your face a little extra attention? Going out for a facial is not an option so try using a face mask once or twice a week. Although it’s applied to the skin a face mask gives your skin a deep cleanse because it is absorbed deep into your pores.
As the mask dries on your face, it causes your blood vessels to expand which helps to promote the circulation of the blood. With regular use, the face mask will improve your skin tone and give you an even complexion and radiant glow.
Maintain your brows.
My eyebrows are the first part of my face to get out of hand, If I don’t keep them groomed I look like I have bigfoot sleeping across my forehead and no one wants that.
Use a brush brow to brush your eyebrows and then pluck away any unwanted strays above, below, and in between your eyebrows. Since you cannot get them done professionally you can try to use small scissors to trim the most unruly hairs to neaten the overall shape.
Neatening your eyebrows shouldn’t take too long so try not to spend more than 5 minutes per eye because you may end up over-plucking. Moisturise your eyebrows by adding a little balm such as vaseline or a natural alternative to keep them soft and give a fuller appearance.
