February is the month where the world gleefully celebrates Valentine’s Day. Red and pink hearts, mushy quotations on cards, and shop shelves filled with luxury chocolates and wines. Who doesn’t enjoy a bit of love and pampering with their significant other? I hope you’ve been feeling the love this month? I have.
In this issue, we take a look back at Katherine Johnson’s incredible career as a mathematician for NASA. Today it should be no secret that Johnson’s calculations were instrumental in securing success for the space organisation. In 1969, Katherine worked out the precise trajectories that allowed the Apollo 11 mission to land on the moon before Neil Armstrong’s historic moonwalk. The legendary groundbreaker passed away on the 24th of February 2020 and we take a look back at some of her greatest achievements.
This month we went to Cardiff for an exclusive interview with conscious queen Aleighcia Scott. The Welsh-born singer talks about her love for Reggae, working with Pekings, musical inspirations and what she plans to do next. Aleighcia is a beauty with immense talent and we are sure she is destined for greatness.
In the UK the Brit Awards is one of the most prestigious events on the calendar. Every year music lovers wait with anticipation to see who will take home the gongs and be recognised for their contributions to UK music. This year the ceremony was attended by Billie Eilish, Stormzy, Lizzo, Mabel and more. Congratulations to all the winners and nominees.
