Issa Christmas Slay

By P.Campbell

The holidays are a time for reflection and family. It’s also the time for getting dolled up and spending nights celebrating the festive season with friends and loved ones. We know you have Christmas gifts, family gatherings, and the perfect outfits to think about. So we wanted to help by giving you easy holiday make-up trends you can try at home.

Edgy Electric Eyeliner

They say lightning does not strike twice. Well, they haven’t seen my eyeliner! Make a statement by wearing a bright bold eyeliner in the neon colour of your choice. Vibrant yellows and electric blues make the perfect blend when wanting to experiment outside the glamour box.  Apply the eyeliner pencil or gel along the lash-line in an upward motion towards the outer corners. Finish the look with a few coats of your favourite mascara, then Voila!

Luscious Red Lip

The quickest way to glam up any look is to apply a bold lipstick colour. The rest of your makeup can be as minimal because you ‘ve decided to keep the focus on your bold red lips. This look is sexy, sophisticated and perfect for the festive fun.

Miss Monochromatic

Monochromatic makeup is always a fab idea, and pink/red hues have us feeling more festive than ever. Re-creating this look is quick and easy. Simply blend an eyeshadow, blush, and lipstick of the same colour on your eyes, cheeks, and lips. Give this look a little twist and add contrast by applying a different colour to the corners of the eyes.

Bold Glitters, Gold & Chrome

The Holiday season is the green light to get the glitter out. This year bold gold/silver glitters and chrome tones are in. A metallic eyeshadow with a sleek foil-like finish will complement any ensemble you wear. Every time you blink wow the crowd with eyelids that can give a disco ball a run for its money. Wear a shimmery lipstick to compliment your eye make-up.

Sparkle Eyes

Turn up your make-up game by applying sparkly eyeshadows and high lighters to your skin. Sparkly eyes will give you a fairy-like whimsical effect. Apply your eyeliner as you normally would, whether you choose to wear a wing or smooth around your lashes. Once the eyeliner is applied blend a shimmering holographic eyeshadow around the top and bottom of the eye giving a subtle burst of sparkle.
