A few months ago, I heard a song on a dancehall mix and immediately asked, “Who is that?”. The voice was unique and melodic, and the chorus was so catchy that it was stuck in my head for days. A few days later, I could put a name to the voice. The name was VALIANT<\/strong><\/a>. I headed to Youtube to search for more of Valiant’s music, and from there, I became an instant fan, adding him to my playlists.<\/p>\n

Valiant<\/a> <\/strong>is a dominant force and part of Jamaica’s new wave of Dancehall, representing the voice of the youth. He has an undeniable talent and catchy songs that you can’t help but love. Valiant’s<\/strong> hits include one of my faves, North Carolina<\/a>, Expensive<\/a>, St Mary<\/a>, Speed Off<\/a>, and Barbie<\/a>, not to mention his breakthrough hit Dunce Cheque<\/a>. What I found most impressive is that “Dunce Cheque<\/a>” caught everyone’s ears, but his music catalogue solidifies his presence and dominance in modern Dancehall.<\/p>\n

Valiant just released his new mixtape 4:14<\/strong>, which has features from UK legend Stormzy<\/a>. Also featured are stars Rotimi<\/a>, Chronic Law<\/a> and more.<\/p>\n
