Exclusive Q&A : Nes Reign GBA Podcast
Former Music Artist Nes Reign has taken a new adventure and is now the founder of her new podcast channel GBA Podcast .
•What inspired you to start doing podcasts ? I always enjoy talking and exploring different topics and things. Podcasting is a great way to do it. I also have a huge interest in people and their stories. I love learning from others and their journeys. sharing these stories, journeys and lessons with the world is something I always wanted to as a little kid already. I always wanted to become a journalist.
- How would you describe your podcasts ?
My new podcast GBA and also my first podcast Dope and Damaged are both show casing different stories, voices and opinions. I talk about current events, things that happen in our crazy world daily and I also love to have conversations with people from all walks of life. It’s important for me that the podcast is somewhat educational .
- If you could collaborate with a celebrity podcaster , who would it be and why?
It’s always very hard for me to choose that 1 particular person to collaborate with. I am very open and versatile and I love speaking and collaborating with very different people for different reasons. I would like to sit down with people like Patrick Bet David, Joe Budden, Candace Owens, the diary of a CEO just to name a few. Trust me there are way more though.
- How is it balancing yourwork life alongside your podcast?
Doing other work along the podcast is not a problem at all. I am used to it. I have always been involved in multiple ventures at the same time. Of course I also have my lazy moments and I procrastinate, but I always get stuff done. I think I just learnt from early that life is not just a party for the most part and reaching your goals, is always attached to hard work.
- How do you feel the Internet has impacted independent podcasters and entrepreneurs?
The internet empowered content creators, not just podcasters and also entrepreneurs a lot. It gives people plenty opportunities to be seen and noticed and sell their digital or physical products to a wide range of people in many different places. It made people open up more, although sometimes people do to much and are to open, butas long as you use the internet for a good reason,, it’s pretty amazing.
- What is one message you would give to aspiring Podcasters ?
My message to asspiring podcasters is, use your voice wisely. wether you just want to entertain people or bless them with some knowledge, make sure to do it the right way. Also, have the patience and willingness to learn and grow. It takes a lot of time to develop, shape and grow the podcast.
- What is the best advice you’ve been given?
The best advise I have been ever given was to make sure to be true to myself at all times. Honestly, that’s what I remember as of right now.
- What can we expect from you next?
I will continue to grow and get better at podcasting, creating content on a whole. Wether it’s video and audio content, written content and whatever else I feel to work on. I also have a couple physical products I’m throwing out there pretty soon. I am focused on those things right now and let’s see what else comes across my path.
- Where do you hope to be in 5 years?
I really dislikethe question of where do I see myself in 5 years, coz I litterally have no idea. I could give that big speech of I will be taking over the world by then, or my podcast will be the biggest podcast by then, but I just don’t like that . I don’t know where I will be next year, let alone in 5. I hope I will be grown more, a better person than I am now and I hope I’m much, much closer to my goals, should they remain the same.
